Character Appearance
He appears to be in his late twenties or early thirties, yet there is an unmistakable weariness in his eyes, a depth to his gaze that suggests he has lived far longer than his youthful appearance would indicate. His hair, streaked with grey, gives him the air of someone who has weathered many storms, both literal and metaphorical. Though his face is still youthful and his movements swift, there’s a quiet heaviness about him—an unspoken weight carried from years of hardship, loss, and survival. It’s as if the passage of time has etched itself into him in ways that are not immediately visible, but which become apparent to those who look closely enough. His outward youth is a mask, a shell that doesn’t quite match the man beneath.
Character Personality
He might look like the kind of person you’d steer clear of—stoic, serious, and a little intimidating, with an air of someone who doesn’t suffer fools gladly. But in reality, his tough exterior is more of a shield than a true reflection of who he is. Beneath that rough-and-ready surface, he’s surprisingly warm, with a dry sense of humor and a playful streak that emerges once he feels comfortable around someone. While he can be blunt and direct with people he doesn’t know, those who get close quickly realize he’s far more easygoing and fun-loving than they first expected. He has a way of lightening the mood, even in tense situations, and is the first to crack a joke or pull off some mischievous prank just to see people laugh. Despite his jovial side, though, anyone who’s earned his trust knows that when it matters, he’s fiercely loyal and protective of those he cares about. He’s the kind of person who might joke around one minute and be ready to lay down his life for his friends the next

Hello Drauf Sir. Thanks so much. Your story idea seems very interesting. Please go ahead and DM with more information. *bows* thanks again. :)
*kowtows in respect* Pleasure to meet you Mr. Drauf Sir and thank you for your friendship. I would be open to brainstorm ideas with you.
Rey said nothing for a few moments, just allowing the coversation to play out naturally and to see if he had anything else he wanted to add. After a second or two she would then look at him and smile faintly. "There are many people like me, all over the galaxy...I promise you that." She wasn't talking about the force. She was referring to people who are good, decent, kind, and willing to fight for what they believe in. That was no rare thing, and Rey knew that. She knew it because ever single person in the Resistance fit that description, as well as people she had met on other worlds.
When the unexpected question came, Rey furrowed her brow as she looked away and thought about it. No one had ever asked her that before, not even Finn or Poe. "I...I'm not sure. A break would be nice, I suppose. Yeah, maybe I'll go on a holiday with my friends somewhere nice. You could come with us if you want," she said with a smile as she gave him a pat on the shoulder. "And after that, well...who knows? Maybe I'll start a new Jedi temple, try to rebuild the order. But I'm nowhere near ready for that," she admitted with a small sigh before changing the subject.
"Well, think it over for a bit. You don't have to decide right away. If you'd like to give it a try, let me know. If not, that's okay too," she said as she stood up and took a couple steps towards the door. She didn't want to seem rude but it was quite late, and she wanted to get some rest.
Accepting his offer, Rey then came closer and sat in the chair across from him. She would completely understand if he was skeptical to the idea, but she had no idea just how much he was dealing with until he showed her the picture. Rey turned her head to try and get a better look, and her heart dropped when she saw the group standing together...and the little girl on Drauf's shoulders.
She would then look back towards his face, her eyes softening with empathy as it looked like she was about to cry too. "I'm so sorry..." was the first thing she said, not even thinking about the training at the moment. "I...I had no idea..." she added, glancing away towards the door as she paused for a moment with her thoughts. It seemed that Drauf's emotional trauma and the instability of his powers was somehow connected. The more Rey thought about it, the more it made sense. Perhaps another conversation with Leia was needed, but for now all she wanted to do was be there for Drauf and support him in another way.
"I'm sorry that the mission didn't bring you what you wanted, but that doesn't mean that it was pointless." She then stood up and walked over to sit beside him on the bed. She glanced down at her hands which were folded together. "We've lost a lot of good people over the last year, people I was close to, people who smiled at me every day...and...even though it hurts so much, I know that they would want us to move on, and keep up the fight. If you could talk to you friends and family today...I wonder if they would say the same thing..." Rey said, staring ahead at the opposite wall in quiet contemplation.
She waited until he answered to reach for the door knob and enter the room. When she saw him sitting there she smiled before gently closing the door behind her. "Sorry to bother you...I hope you were able to take a nice break," she said before taking a moment to glance around Drauf's room. It looked almost identical to her own, with all the furniture being on the reverse side.
Rey would then lean against the wall and looked over at him. From the way she stood there awkwardly, it seemed she had something important to discuss. "I, um...I won't take up too much of your time, but I wanted to let you know what Leia and I talked about." Rey paused again, glancing at the floor and trying to formulate her words.
"Leia has agreed...that it's probably for the best if you don't join a squadron like that again, just to err on the side of caution." A pause. "But, she also said...that she would like me to train you." Rey seemed just as surprised as he might have been as the words came out of her mouth. "Not in the ways of the force...but she believes that I can help you learn to control your powers. Maybe not right away, but in time." Rey paused again and chuckled a bit with a shake of her head. "To be honest with you, I'm not sure if I'm even ready for something this, but..." she then looked at him sincerely. "I will try my best."
Both Rey and Leia listened intently as he spoke. Leia in particular seemed quite transfixed on what he was saying, especially in regards to him losing control. But there was no anger or judgement on her face, she was simply listening to all the facts in order to get the most accurate depiction possible. After pausing for a moment she would nod slowly in understanding. "I see. Thank you for telling me the truth, Drauf...I'm sure it was not easy. We'll talk more about this later. For now, you've earned yourself a good meal and some rest. If you don't mind...I'd like to speak to my apprentice in private."
Rey turned to him and gave a nod. "I'll meet up with you later, it's okay," she assured with a smile before turning away. She and Leia would walk off to a more secluded area of the base. Whether they were talking about Drauf or something else entirely, there was no way to know. As the rest of the day and the evening passed, Rey would wander the halls of the Resistance quarters before coming up to the room that she had assigned to him.
"Drauf? Are you there?" she asked before knocking politely.
