Wrealms will soon be moving to a brand-new site hosted on a dedicated server! This transition will allow us full creative control and the freedom to implement exciting new features without the restrictions we’ve faced with Ning.
Our new site will include all the social features we love and more, such as:
- Fully customizable profiles
- Member HTML boxes for larger text sections
- Music players and Photo albums
- Blogs, and more fully functional forums
- Group writing options
- Gifting options and badges
- A live activity feed, and so much more!
Please note that wrealms.com will remain our official site URL.
Once the new site is fully complete, we’ll transfer the wrealms.com domain to the new website. This means when you visit wrealms.com, you’ll be directed to the updated platform. Additionally, I will keep the old site live under its original Ning domain for about two months longer, allowing members ample time to retrieve any information or content they’d like to keep.
Despite our best efforts, we have confirmed that we will not be able to save any data or writing information from Ning. This is due to Ning’s legal claim over the modules they’ve created (such as the blog section, comment boxes, forums, etc.). This means any content you want to keep must be manually saved by you and re-uploaded to the new site once it’s live.
Unfortunately, this includes all comment threads, inbox messages, and blogs. We want to stress that this is a restriction imposed by Ning and a clear attempt to force site owners like us to continue paying for their declining services. With that said, I recommend that you take some time to save any important information or writing that you want to keep.
